Research new techniques and organization improvements

Role: System Design/Innovation tech lead

Client: Infologic Nederland bv. from May 2008 until February 2010

At Infologic, the provider of all display systems at Schiphol and Frankfurt airports, I worked as a software and organization innovation consultant. I evaluated the existing processes, communication protocols and codebases and found areas that could be improved.

I was directly involved in refactoring and debugging legacy Java codebases, and introduced Qt into the company.

I improved communication between developers, by introducing methods (such as code-reviews) and improved the infrastructure by introducing wiki's, version control improvements, and in-source documentation generators (javadoc and doxygen).
